SUCCURRO

About SUCCURRO

Succurro (Latin): to run to the aid of, to help. This is a curated, source-anchored dataset and directory of help and support services across the United States, resolved to the city and town level.

Every record cites its source and carries a verification date. Records that go stale are flagged; safety-critical listings are suppressed rather than shown stale. Confidential shelter locations are never published — only hotline and intake contacts. Meeting listings carry venue and schedule facts only, respecting the anonymity traditions of the fellowships they describe.

Data comes from federal open data (SAMHSA, HRSA, VA, HUD, USDA, ACF, DOJ), open community feeds (the BMLT and Meeting Guide ecosystems), and facts-only curation of public directories — 153 sources in all, listed in the source registry.

The dataset is CC BY-NC 4.0 and lives on GitHub. Corrections and takedown requests are honored without argument — open an issue or email [email protected]. If you run a service listed here and want it updated or removed, that is your call, not ours.

Not affiliated with any listed organization. In an emergency call 911; in a mental-health crisis call or text 988.
